Hi, I am Kumsal – a Registered Social Worker and Turkish-English-speaking psychotherapist based in Toronto, supporting adults and couples from diverse backgrounds. As a first-generation immigrant and parent who transitioned from research to clinical work, I bring both professional training and lived experience to my practice. I understand how identity, culture, belonging, and life transitions can shape how we relate to ourselves and others.I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, relationship difficulties, emotional regulation, and major life transitions. Using a relational, attachment-focused approach grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I help clients understand the patterns underlying overthinking, shutting down, or repeated conflict.
